Aedas appointed lead architect on HK and Shenzhen airports

International architectural firm Aedas has won two competitions in China: to design Shenzhen Airport Satellite Concourse and Hong Kong International Airport Third Runway Passenger Building.

In Shenzhen Aedas will work as lead design architect with local design institute GDAD, Landrum & Brown as aviation planners.

In Hong Kong Aedas is also lead design architect, working with Aecom as lead consultant and engineer, and OTC as aviation planners.

Aedas worked with SOM on the HKIA Terminal 2 in 2006.

The latest project expands Terminal 2 capacity from 100,000 sq m to 250,000, making it the gateway to the Three-runway System of HKIA and the region.
