A Carillion 50:50 joint venture with public and regulated services provider Amey has won three Next Generation Estate Contracts (NGEC). It was awarded the contracts by The Ministry of Defence.Â
The contracts involve the Defence Infrastructure Organisation’s (DIO) NGEC programme to maintain and upgrade defence infrastructure. They are worth up to $4.77bn.Â
Amey and Carillion will supply services such as electrical engineering maintenance and utility efficiency services to more the 150 sites such as RAF Cranwell, Catterick Garrison, RAF Valley and MoD Stafford.Â
The three contracts, together with contracts in Scotland and Northern Ireland, which were announced on 12th May, will deploy a service delivery model for hard facilities management services that will support the UK Government’s objective of encouraging the use of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises.Â
Carillion Chief Executive, Richard Howson, said: "We are delighted that our joint ventures have signed these three major contracts.
