Hill to project manage part of Lusail City development in Qatar

Construction risk consultant Hill International has won a contract from Qatar Electricity & Water Co. Q.S.C. (Qatar E&W) to provide project management for a commercial development in the Marina District of Lusail City, a master planned development north of Doha, Qatar.

The four-year contract has an estimated value to Hill of approximately $6.4m, the company said on 5 October.

Qatar E&W’s Lusail development will feature two towers, 47 storeys and 27 storeys, with a total built-up area of approximately 220,000 square meters.

A third, 7-story structure will include retail space and parking.

The wider development of Lusail City extends across an area of 38 square kilometres and includes four exclusive islands and 19 districts dedicated to residential, entertainment and commercial activity.

Lusail Real Estate Development Company says the city will accommodate 200,000 residents and 170,000 employees.

"We are excited to help deliver this impressive project for Qatar E&W," said Mohammed Al Rais, Regional President (Middle East) for Hill’s Project Management Group. "We look forward to this high-rise development being a hallmark of the Lusail City skyline."
