LivingHomes pioneers five-hour solar-powered prefabs in Los Angeles

Prefab company LivingHomes has assembled six solar powered eco homes in Atwater Village, Los Angeles in five hours.

LivingHomes worked with sustainable real estate firm REthink Development on the project.

Each of the properties was prefabricated in Oregon before being erected on site with the help of a single lightweight crane.

The 1,185 square foot homes have three bedrooms and mountain views from the upper floors and outdoor decks.

LivingHomes is aiming at LEED platinum status thanks to the use of recycled materials and energy-efficient appliances.

The development is close to the LA River as well as local shops and amenities.

The properties are not yet on sale.
