Brooklyn-based prefabrication specialist SG Blocks has launched a series of multi-use containers in response to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The firm has listed a number of applications for the product, including treatment rooms, housing for healthcare workers and those undergoing quarantine.
Paul Galvin, SG Blocks’ chairman, said: "We believe these products can offer states, cities and employer’s options for those in their care or custody.
"They are designed to help students, patients, health professionals and others exposed to COVID-19 isolate in a safe place. Those that work in the service economy, especially emergency and medical personnel, should have an option other than going home to risk infecting loved ones."

These style of units provide a very un energy efficient return within a small restrictive environment. They are a very short sighted and short term solutions. The military have been using these style of units for years and have shown that over 80% of their energy use is from heating and cooling, due to poor insulation levels and fixings which lose their air tightness properties very quickly.
All Construction manufacturing facility should be lock down untill situation gets in control!!!Govt/authority should ensure minimum requirement to be full filled.As Prefab Industry,if needed every organisation must have some task relating to their job to cope with the situation.Govt should direct in advance.
