Shenzhen airport to build third runway for $1.4bn

A third runway has been approved for China’s Shenzhen Bao’an International Airport, which will increase its annual capacity to 80 million passengers.

The South China Morning Post reports that the extension will cost $1.4bn, and was sanctioned China’s National Development and Reform Commission.

Airport Technology adds that the runway will be 3,600m long and 60m wide and is due to be completed by 2030.
