Dallas-based engineer Aecom will provide construction management consulting services for the new Lakeport Courthouse in northern California, for the Judicial Council of California (JCC).

The 46,000-sq-ft, four-courtroom facility will contain a self-help centre, jury assembly, child waiting area, attorney-client meeting rooms, court administration and a clerk’s office.

Aecom’s scope of work on the project includes managing design, scheduling and construction, reviewing costs and monitoring quality.

The building will meet the latest safety, seismic and accessibility standards and feature on-site solar power generation.

Rigo Salinas, Aecom’s western US vice president, said: “We look forward to serving as a diligent and collaborative partner focused on the successful delivery of a first-class, cost-efficient, secure, and sustainable facility.”
