Aecom hires former deputy minister to lead engineering in BC

Aecom has appointed Eduards Miska as director of engineering in the Canadian province of British Columbia (BC).

Based in the Victoria office, he brings 30 years of experience with the BC transportation ministry, culminating in his appointment as acting assistant deputy minister.

“Ed’s vast experience will help us to better understand the unique challenges facing our clients in BC,” said Aecom senior vice president Bruce McCuaig.

From 2015 to early 2021, Miska was executive director of the ministry’s Engineering Services Branch, leading a team of some 200 staff responsible for delivery of all engineering services in BC.

He has held leadership and support roles with the Transportation Association of Canada, Intelligent Transportation Systems Canada, and the Canadian Institute of Transportation Engineers.
