BAM awarded two university contracts in Germany worth $160m

BAM Deutschland has been awarded contracts for university buildings in Düsseldorf and Cologne that are worth a total of $160m.

For the Heinrich Heine Universität Düsseldorf (pictured), BAM will construct a complex of three buildings with a total gross floor area of 38,000 square metres.

The new buildings will contain offices, laboratories and lecture halls as well as central chemicals storage.

The project is worth around $93m. Construction will start this month and is expected to be completed in early 2018.  

At the University Hospital in Cologne, BAM will build an oncology treatment centre. This seven-storey building  has a total gross floor area of 37,000 square metres.

The contract is worth approximately $66m. BAM expects to complete the project in August 2018.
