BAM to build German hospital

BAM’s German arm, BAM Deutschland, has been awarded a construction contract worth $170m for a hospital in Frankfurt.

BAM is part of a joint venture with German firm Max Bögl Stiftung.

The six floor hospital will have a total gross floor area of 79,000 square metres.

It will contain 664 beds and will care for 33,500 patients each year.

The new health facility has 10 operating rooms and a so-called hybrid operating room, which will house CT and MRI scanners.

The Klinikum Frankfurt Höchst was designed by Wörner Traxler Richter Architekten in Frankfurt.

The project is due to be completed in early 2019.
