BAM to reconstruct traffic interchange in Luxembourg

BAM has won the contract to reconstruct the Dudelange-Burange intersection on the A13 highway in southern Luxembourg.

The $20m contract was awarded by governmental agency Administration Ponts & Chaussées.

The work will be carried out by BAM Lux in joint venture with Galère, BAM’s Belgian civil engineering company.

The intersection between the N31 motorway and the highway A31 will be reconstructed completely to improve the flow of traffic and to improve the accessibility of nearby industrial estates.

As part of the works, BAM will construct bridges, viaducts and retaining walls.

The road works will include the construction of new ramps and a large roundabout.

The project will take four years to complete.

BAM and Vinci were recently chosen to build an undersea tunnel from Denmark to Germany.
