The last roof trestle of a new football stadium in the United Arab Emirates has been placed and cladding begun by Netherlands-based BAM International.
The 25,000-seat Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium in Al Ain, 150 kilometres east of Abu Dhabi and close to the Oman border, is scheduled for completion in the fourth quarter of 2013.

BAM started the project in mid-2012. It included the 45,000-sq-m stadium, a six-storey commercial building, a sports complex and other facilities.
Construction is of structural steel and reinforced concrete on piled foundations with aluminium and composite external cladding and a palm bowl envelope.
Working with BAM International are sister companies BAM Sports and BAM Contractors from Ireland.
