Bilfinger announced in December that it had acquired the control systems specialist Helmut Mauell, a leading provider of technical process systems and equipment for modern power plants.
The company, headquartered in Wuppertal, Germany, has an output volume of approximately €60m with 460 employees.
Mauell generates a majority of its volume in Germany and also has activities in the US, Brazil, the Netherlands and Switzerland.
The company was previously owned by the founder’s family and the two parties have agreed to keep the terms of the sale confidential.
Following the technological expansion of Bilfinger’s power plant services with the acquisition of engineering specialist Envicon, the acquisition of Mauell represents a further step in the successful expansion of the portfolio, Bilfinger says.
