Bob Hope to lead France’s Egis in Saudi Arabia

French construction and engineering group Egis has appointed Gulf construction veteran Bob Hope as country managing director for Saudi Arabia, responsible for leading the group’s development and growth in the Kingdom.

Hope has held senior leadership positions in the Middle East with engineering and architecture firms, and has extensive experience leading the delivery of complex projects in infrastructure, urban planning and buildings. He holds a B.Sc. (Hons) in Construction Management and is an alumnus of Harvard’s Building Global Business and a Fellow of Chartered Institute of Building.

Egis has growth plans for Saudi Arabia in consulting, engineering, project management, smart mobility and operations. It is in the process of opening its flagship offices in Riyadh which will be its largest footprint in the Middle East.

Egis has operated in Saudi Arabia for 15 years, providing engineering services for large infrastructure developments including Riyadh Metro, Riyadh Airport, Green Riyadh, AMAALA Airport and others.

A 75%-owned subsidiary of Caisse des Dépôts, with the remaining 25% held by partner executives and employees, Egis employs 16,000 people and had a turnover of €1.07bn in 2020.
