Skanska hires vice president to develop commercial business in Los Angeles

Swedish contractor Skanska has announced that Megan Moloughney will become its vice president for development in Los Angeles.

Moloughney will guide project teams through the execution of Skanska Commercial Development’s regional strategy, including work on conceptual design, permitting, pre-construction and construction activities, leasing, operations and recapitalisation.

Moloughney will report to Skanska USA’s executive vice president Clare De Briere.

De Briere said: "Skanska is a leader in the industry, and our mission to provide community-minded, customer-focused, sustainable developments will continue to exceed expectations with a versatile leader like Megan on our team.

"Megan brings a significant level of experience from across commercial office and multifamily development, her strategic thinking and collaborative spirit will be a true asset to Skanska’s to Los Angeles team."

Before being hired for Skanska, Moloughney worked for seven years at Los Angeles real estate firm the Ratkovich Company, leasing over 700,000 sq ft of commercial office space and selling and refinancing a $200m 790-unit residential project called The Villages.

Moloughney is a member of the Alhambra Chamber of Commerce’s executive board and has a bachelor’s degree in art history from the University of Washington.
