CIOB Chartered Company Douglas OHI has been awarded the RoSPA Gold Medal for the ninth time, a certification highlighting occupational health, safety and wellbeing.

Gold Medal status demonstrates sustained excellence, mature management and a company culture focused on protecting people and supporting operational resilience.

The RoSPA Gold Medal coincides with the 45th anniversary of Douglas OHI’s operations in the GCC, operating across Oman, the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Bahrain.

Aaron Hennessy, Douglas OHI’s managing director, said: “Achieving our ninth RoSPA Gold Medal in our 45th year is a significant milestone and a clear reflection of our long-term commitment to safety excellence.

“Strong health and safety performance is fundamental to operational reliability, project delivery, and client confidence.

“As we continue to grow across Oman, the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Bahrain, while strengthening our wider GCC presence, we remain focused on raising standards, supporting our people, and delivering projects responsibly and sustainably.”

Peter Baker, Douglas OHI’s regional HSSE manager, said: “This ninth RoSPA Gold Medal reflects the collective ownership of safety across our projects.

“It is the result of disciplined planning, strong leadership visibility, and the commitment of our teams and partners to doing the right thing every day.

“Our focus remains on strengthening proactive reporting, learning from experience, and ensuring everyone goes home safe.”
