French engineering consultancy Egis Group has appointed Charlie Hodgson to be its chief executive for Europe and Africa.

He was previously managing director of transport and infrastructure for WSP in the UK.

“We are on a mission to be recognised as the market leader for technical excellence and employability across the two regions,” Hodgson said.

“To achieve this, establishing a network that spans the global business will be key.”

He succeeds Matthieu Loussier, who is taking on the role of group head of mergers and acquisitions integration.
