Dubai’s largest property firm, Emaar, has launched a $3bn development in Erbil, the capital of Iraq’s Kurdistan region.

Covering an area of 541,000 sq m, "Erbil Downtown" will include new twin towers, luxury residential apartments, hotels and a shopping centre. It will be located between the Citadel of Erbil and the modern Erbil International Airport.
