First Ramada hotel opens in Iraq

The Wyndham Hotel Group, whose brands include Travelodge, Days Inn and Howard Johnson, has opened a 71-room hotel in Iraq, its first in the country.

The Ramada Sulaymaniyah Salim Street in Kurdistan features 58 guest rooms and 13 suites and a 728-square-metre theatre-style ballroom catering for up to 700 people.

The 71-room hotel is the first in Iraq for the Wyndham Hotel Group

It is located 10km from Sulaymaniyah International Airport.

The hotel in Iraq opened on the same day as the 144-room Ramada Plaza Beirut Raouche in Beirut, Lebanon, adding to the groups’ presence in the Middle East.
