France-headquartered engineer and project manager Assystem has acquired India’s L&T Infrastructure Engineering, a subsidiary of the Larsen & Toubro group.

L&T Infrastructure Engineering employs 431 people and saw revenues of around $11m in the last financial year, Assystem said.

It added that the acquisition would boost its market share in India’s infrastructure, transportation, and energy sectors, and bring more design and planning capability to Assystem’s business in the country.

It was bought by Assystem’s Indian entity, Assystem STUP, registered as STUP Consultants, but Assystem plans to unite its India based employees under one Assystem brand this year.

Established in 1998, L&T Infrastructure Engineering has offices in Hyderabad, Mumbai, Delhi, and Chennai.
