Hill International acquires South Africa firm

6 June 2013

US project and risk consultant Hill International has acquired Binnington Copeland & Associates (BCA), the $5-million revenue South African consulting and training services firm, in a move to expand its presence in South Africa.

Hill’s UK subsidiary, Knowles, already has a longstanding cooperation agreement with BCA.

"Since we have been working together for over 20 years, we anticipate a seamless integration of our combined professional resources," said Frederic Samelian, president of Hill’s Construction Claims Group.

BCA managing director Chris Binnington said the acquisition would allow BCA to develop new service areas.

"Key areas which we intend to develop in conjunction with Hill include expert witness services and forensic planning," he said.
