Actor Lindsay Lohan (pictured) has disclosed that she is planning to design an artificial island off the coast of Dubai.

"Lohan Island" would be located in the World Islands development, an archipelago partly shaped like a world map, 4km offshore.

Discussing the project while on a talk show hosted by Wendy Williams, Lohan is quoted by the Khaleej Times saying: "I’m discussing designing an island in Dubai, with the World Islands … I am out-Trumping Trump with the name Lohan." This was a reference to the US president’s habit of calling his projects after himself.

Lohan has previously opened a nightclub in Athens, the Greek capital, with plans for a second on the Greek island of Mykonos.

Lohan is presently resident in Dubai, where she is studying Arabic.
