Mace awarded two US renovation contracts

Mace has been appointed by HighBrook Investment Management to plan and manage the renovation and repositioning of two of its properties in Atlanta, Georgia.

The first of which is One Live Oak, a 10-storey, 250,000 square foot office building which houses the local state university’s business college as an anchor tenant. The project was already in the design phase when the architect put forward Mace to manage the project.

David Stoutamire, Mace Operations Director will take the project back to the planning stages and refine the requirements and the design elements.

Mace will follow the same approach for the 214,000 sq ft, 1776 Building.

Both projects are currently in the planning stage and will require extensive mechanical, electrical, and plumbing upgrades as well as code compliance upgrades, toilet upgrades and major interior and exterior finish renovations.

Shamika Crouch, Mace Assistant Project Manager, said "The planning stages of a project are about asking the right questions, gathering the requirements and ensuring you are capturing the input from the appropriate stakeholders.

"The fact that we are successfully doing that for the One Live Oak project and have now been awarded the 1776 Building means, simply, that we have garnered a client’s trust and confidence in our ability to get a project off the ground."

Renovation work on both projects is planned to complete in 2015.

Mace have recently completed work on a luxury Turkish resort
