Ramboll acquires Finnish building services consultant

Danish consulting engineer Ramboll has acquired Projectus Team Oy, one of Finland’s leading consultants in intelligent building solutions.

The acquisition adds 130 mechanical, electrical and plumbing services staff to Ramboll and progresses the company’s ambition to become the leading engineering consultancy in Scandinavia.

Ramboll now has 13,000 employees globally and more than 2,000 in Finland.

Jens-Peter Saul, chief executive of the Ramboll Group, said: "The importance of intelligent building solutions is growing both in new construction and renovation projects as buildings become more and more technically advanced and energy efficiency requirements become increasingly stringent.

"With this acquisition we double our specialists within mechanical, electrical and plumbing services in Finland and will be able to serve our clients in increasingly extensive and challenging construction projects."

Projectus Team was founded in 1992 and specialises in in providing building services and energy solutions for shopping centres, hotels and demanding renovation projects.It is currently working on projects such as the Helsinki Olympic Stadium and Helsinki Central Library.
