Skanska renovates Park Hospital in Helsinki for €40m

Skanska has signed a contract with Helsinki University Hospital for the first phase of the renovation of the Park Hospital in Helsinki, Finland.

The contract is worth €40m, which will be included in the Nordic order bookings for the fourth quarter 2019.

Park Hospital will be renovated in two phases. The first phase includes the complete renovation of the old parts of the building and a newer extension part.

After the renovation, Park Hospital will have 10 operating theatres as well as facilities for ambulatory and outpatient surgery. The schedule for the second phase will be determined later in the process.

The project is underway. In the first phase, about half of the building will undergo a transformation that will be completed in 2021.
