SSH appoints Mark O’Brien as new group commercial director

Middle East-focussed construction consultant SSH has appointed Mark O’Brien as its new group commercial director.

O’Brien has more than 30 years’ experience in commercial, operational and programme management, having led teams in the UK, Europe, Asia and, for the last seven years, the Middle East.

He holds a BSc degree in quantity surveying from Robert Gordon University in Scotland and is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.

“We are extremely pleased that Mark is joining our leadership team, bringing with him a wealth of regional experience together with subject-matter expertise, thought leadership and, most important, the right attitude and character to fit the SSH delivery ethos,” said SSH chief executive Matthew Squires.

SSH offers master planning, infrastructure, building design and construction supervision firms in the Middle East with offices in Abu Dhabi, Algeria, Bahrain, Dubai, Kuwait, London, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and South Africa.
