Turner Construction has announced the launch of First Equipment Company (FEC), an equipment rental and site services supplier able to support 40,000 trade contractors who work on Turner jobs each year across the US.
The new company will also offer the same services to other general and trade contractors.
FEC will complement Turner’s current service offerings such as xPL Offsite, SourceBlue, the Turner Accelerated Payment Program, the Turner Engineering Group, and the expansion of self-perform operations.
Under the new banner, heavy machinery, operating equipment, temporary power, lighting, office and restroom trailers, fencing and site controls will be managed under one roof, reducing the administrative burden and improving coordination and support.
FEC has previously provided equipment and site services on multiple large-scale Turner Construction projects, which they say benefited from improved integration.
Shannon Hines, Turner Construction’s senior vice president, said: “FEC is a strategic investment in our ability to deliver projects more efficiently.
“By supporting the contractors working on our projects with a consistent, streamlined equipment experience, we help improve productivity in the field—benefiting our project teams and, ultimately, our clients.”
Josh Ehlers, the FEC’s national manager, said: “FEC reflects our commitment to continuously improving how we serve our clients and partners.
“By enhancing efficiency at the project level, we’re strengthening outcomes for everyone involved.”
