UK-based construction consultant Turner & Townsend has appointed a new director to cover southeast China.
Brian Zhang (pictured), to be based in Shanghai, joins from DHV Engineering Consultancy in the city, and has more than 20 years’ experience working across China in project delivery and client management, Turner & Townsend said.
Zhang will lead a professional team to deliver major projects in the property and infrastructure sectors.
The company is now working on projects including Hong Kong International Airport, and for clients including luxury automotive brands Infiniti, Mercedes and Aston Martin.
"We have big ambitions in China and welcoming Brian onto the team brings us another step closer to fulfilling our business targets," said Nick Townsend, the firm’s managing director for north east Asia.
Of his appointment Zhang said Turner & Townsend "has a clear and strong vision of their future and I am pleased to have the chance to play a role in its continued success across China".
