Work begins on China’s 1,600m ‘super major bridge’ across Yellow River

Construction has begun on the 1,600m-long “super major bridge” that will span China’s Yellow River and link Henan Province Shandong provinces.

According to state press agency Xinhua, the bridge will form part of the 552km high-speed railway that will connect Xiong’an in China’s north Hebei Province to Beijing.

Trains on the route will travel at speeds of up to 350km/h.
