Atkins, a member of the SNC-Lavalin Group, has appointed two new senior executives to grow business in the vast regions of Africa-Middle East, and Asia.

Grant Porter is now Atkins’ chief executive for Africa-Middle East, while Catherine Li (pictured above) is managing director for Asia.
From his office in the Middle East, Porter will oversee projects and seek new business.
He joined Atkins in the Middle East in 2009 as regional finance director before moving on to the role of chief operating officer.
Reporting to Porter, Adrian Lindon has been appointed managing director of the design and engineering business.
In Asia, Catherine Li is now managing director, seeking business growth in Hong Kong, Mainland China and South East Asia.
For five years she led Atkins’ strategy development and key account management in the Asia Pacific region.
She is a board director of the China Britain Business Council, and vice-chair of the International Infrastructure Forum at the British Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong.
Prior to Atkins, she spent a decade at Arup, and has been an entrepreneur in the computing and technology sector.
"I see significant opportunities in the market and changes to how projects are structured, developed and delivered in Asia," Li said. "Advances in technology will change the entire delivery model for major projects across the markets we serve."
