Clandillon Civil Consulting and precast specialist Killeshal have installed around 2km of Dura Products’ recycled kerb-and-drain system on the N63-Majors Well Road in Longford, Ireland.

Made from 70% recycled plastic bottles and caps, with 199 bottles in every unit, the “Duradrain” system itself can be reused or recycled, Dura Products said.

The new kerbs have a shallow profile for wheelchairs and bicycles to conform with the Irish National Transport Authority’s new Cycle Design Manual, published in September.
