A developer in the city of Balneário Camboriú in southeast Brazil has announced plans to build the ‘Senna Tower’ in collaboration with the company begun by Formula 1 driver Ayrton Senna.

FG Empreendimentos and Senna Brand say they will commission an “architectural masterpiece”, with work to begin in the second half of 2025 and lasting 10 years.

It will have 228 luxury apartments, including “suspended mansions” and penthouses serviced by eight high-speed elevators.

As well as the six private leisure floors, there will be public entertainment areas, including an immersive space dedicated to Ayrton Senna himself.

Sales will begin towards the end of the 2024, at which time the height of the building will also be announced, although FG Empreendimentos has hinted it will be higher than 500m, putting it in the ultra-tall category.

According to the developer the project has successfully completed its Neighbourhood Impact Study and obtained its Environmental Implementation Licence.

Earlier this year, the developer’s 544m-tall Triumph Tower received approval from the Balneário Camboriú municipal council.

Balneário Camboriú, in Santa Catarina state, is a major tourist destination, and its population of 150,000 swells to about a million during the summer.
