Chelsea FC plans branded tower complex in Dubai

Can we have our ball back? The residences will come with a rooftop football pitch (Damac)
Chelsea Football Club has teamed up with developer Damac to build a number of 130m-tall towers in Maritime City, Dubai, one of which will have a rooftop football pitch.

Damac showcased Chelsea Residences last week at Chelsea’s Stamford Bridge ground in Fulham, west London.

It said the “exclusive event” attracted investors and high-net-worth individuals.

Combined, the towers will have 1,400 apartments, with Chelsea branding “woven into their fabric, from the concierge service to the high-performance spaces”, according to Chelsea FC’s website.

There will be a statue of Chelsea’s lion emblem in front of the towers, which will make full use of the club’s distinctive blue colour.

There will also be a rooftop football pitch, an athlete performance centre and a sports bar, as well as a cryotherapy centre, an aerial yoga studio and forest relaxation pods. Former members of the team will be on hand to host dinners at its “Captain’s Table”.

Chelsea president Todd Kline said the partnership signalled “an exciting chapter in the Chelsea story, bringing our club’s spirit and prestige into the real estate world”.

Amira Sajwani, a managing director at Damac, added: “Chelsea Residences is the epitome of our philosophy to bring global partnerships to life through world-class design and lifestyle experiences.”

According to Damac, prices for units start from £470,000, with one, two, and three-bedroom configurations available.
