The Crypto Tower, the world’s first commercial tower dedicated to the decentralised internet and digital assets, is taking shape in Dubai’s southwest Jumeirah Lake Towers district.

Local company the National Engineering Bureau (NEB) will oversee the design, engineering, approvals and on-site supervision of the project, a purpose-built commercial space tailored for companies specialising in the blockchain, crypto and digital assets.

Its 17 storeys will have 150,000-sq-ft of leasable space, with nine office floors, for companies specialising in venture capital, investment and AI.

Crypto Tower is a joint initiative by the Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC), a sovereign wealth fund-run free-trade zone, and real estate company REIT Development.

Jamil Jadallah, the NEB’s chief executive, said: “Crypto Tower is set to become a cornerstone of the digital economy in the UAE, and we are committed to delivering a service that reflects its innovation, ambition, and impact.

“At NEB, we have always believed in shaping the future of urban development – and this project exemplifies that ethos.”

Ahmed Bin Sulayem, DMCC’s executive chair, said: “Serving as a physical anchor for DMCC’s growing community of over 3,400 tech companies – including more than 700 within our Crypto Centre – the tower will provide premium, purpose-built office space for the next generation of digital enterprises.”
