
German construction engineering company Matthäi has created a printing division following the completion of a 364-sq-m, two-story headquarters in Selsingen, Lower Saxony, using a Cobod Bod2 printer.
The 7.4m-high building is 22.5m-long and 13.5m-deep with two storeys, a 170-sq-m ground floor and 194-sq-m upper level.
Walls were printed using Holcim’s TectorPrint cementitious material in 105 hours, with the building’s form produced directly from a digital model without the formwork traditional construction requires.

The foundation, base slab, floors and roof were built using conventional methods.
Peri 3D Construction was the technology partner and supervisor during the printing phase, working alongside architects Schulenburg and planning firm Mense-Korte.
Matthäi’s newly founded printing division has also been created in partnership with Peri.
