Chartered Building Company Gilbert-Ash Ireland has unveiled its new headquarters in Dublin as it plans to expand in Ireland after a string of hotel projects.

Clients and stakeholders were invited to see the new premises on Dawson Street on Wednesday evening.

The new location adds to the construction and fit-out contractor’s offices in Belfast and London.

It follows the company’s recent completion of the 245-bedroom citizenM Hotel on Dublin’s Bride Street, marking the global hospitality brand’s entry into the Irish market.

The company is also progressing work on the construction of two major hotels, a 215-bedroom Premier Inn at Twilfit House on Jervis Street and a 229-bedroom Premier Inn forming part of the redevelopment of the former Clerys department store site.

Feeling right at home

Elsewhere on the island, Gilbert-Ash has completed several landmark projects including the Giant’s Causeway Visitors Centre and the Lyric Theatre in Belfast, both of which were shortlisted for the Stirling Prize.

“Gilbert-Ash feels at home working in Ireland and we want to build a solid foundation from which to deliver future projects, especially across the hospitality, workspace and residential sectors,” said managing director Ray Hutchinson.

“We look forward to working closely with local clients, sub-contractors and other stakeholders in the near future.”
