Jacobs wins $249m in US defence projects

US engineer Jacobs has been awarded a $249m architecture and engineering contract by the US Navy for renovation, repair and the construction of facilities.

The job was awarded to Jacobs Government Services, which beat six competitors.

The work will be carried out mainly in California, but also in Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, Nevada and Utah.

Jacobs’ scope involves design, bid and build construction contract packages, including the preparation of full plans, site surveys, cost estimating and post construction award services.

Jacobs’ contract will be completed by March 2031.
