Trevi Group company Trevi Algerie is building piled viaduct foundations for a new 8km motorway link from the Port of Oran to the East-West motorway in north-western Algeria.

The client is Algeria’s Agence des Autoroutes and the general contractor is Mikol.

The link starts from the extension of the port of Oran and aims to ease increasing traffic. The project involves major works, viaducts and tunnels.

For the viaduct piers, Trevi is using foundation piles with a diameter of 1200mm for a maximum depth of 46.50m. The piles were made 100% with drilling mud and are equipped with tubes for sonic auscultation.
