Samsung C&T has won an $790m order for the third phase of the 33km, US$2.4bn WestConnex Underpass in Australia.
The company is working with Bouygues and Lendlease on the project, which will connect two of Sydney’s busiest motorways, creating a western bypass of the central business district.
An unnamed official from Samsung C&T said that the latest order has been awarded after it had successfully completed the construction of motorways for the first and second phase of the WestConnex project in 2015.
The company plans to begin construction for the third phase next month and complete in June 2023.
