Turner Construction has won a contract to build a 12,000-seat stadium for Californian football team Republic FC in downtown Sacramento. It may later be expanded to 15,000.
The total development cost, including related infrastructure, is $217m, with the stadium itself worth $175m.
Groundbreaking is set for late summer, with completion expected in 2027.
The Sacramento Bee reported that the stadium was part of a $321m district, including a hotel, another entertainment venue and shops.
