Turner Construction Company has been appointed overall site manager on the 17.5-acre “One Beverly Hills” scheme in Beverly Hills, California, masterplanned by UK-headquartered architect Foster + Partners.
Turner will be the contractor on the first phase of the multi-billion-dollar project – which includes a hotel, two residential towers, a retail pavilion, plus a conference centre and botanical gardens – and will oversee construction of the overall project, which broke ground in February last year.
Turner will work with Cain International and OKO Group on One Beverly Hills, with Adamson Associates acting as executive architect.
Some 2,500 workers will be on site during peak construction.
Reed McMains, Turner’s general manager, said: “We are thrilled to work on this iconic project. One Beverly Hills will usher in the next exciting chapter in Beverly Hills’ remarkable history.”
Work is scheduled for completion in 2027.
