Turner & Townsend appoints veteran QSs to support Malaysian team

UK consultant Turner & Townsend (T&T) has appointed two senior managers to its leadership team in Malaysia.

Ong See Lian, former global president of Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, will join as the strategic adviser to T&T’s Malaysian cost management team.

Ong’s career spans 50 years, in which he held roles with leading industry bodies, including with the International Construction Measurement Standard Setting Committee and the Royal Institution of Surveyors Malaysia (RISM).

Amnah Salleh will join T&T as the director of cost management. She has had 30 years’ experience in the real estate and infrastructure sector, and is an RISM committee lead and chair.

Brian Shuptrine, T&T’s head of real estate in Asia, said: “With Ong and Amnah now on board, we are elevating our professional project and cost-management capabilities with a suite of specialised services.

“By further enhancing our existing offer, we ensure that we are best placed to help our clients deliver projects and programmes with even greater social, environmental and economic value in Malaysia and beyond.”
