Tutor Perini to build $960m California children’s hospital

Tutor Perini subsidiary Rudolph and Sletten has won a $960m contract to build the UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital in Oakland, California.

The 277,500-sq-ft facility will be spread out across seven floors and a basement level, with Rudolph and Sletten also building a parking garage, rooftop helipad and demolishing three current buildings to make way for the project.

Construction is due to begin in September 2025 with substantial completion anticipated in 2031.
