Vinci names new UK construction boss

French construction giant Vinci has announced that Bruno Dupety is to take over as chief executive and chairman of its UK construction subsidiary.

He takes the place of John Stanion, who has retired after 22 years with the firm. Dupety joined the Vinci group in 1999 after working as a civil engineer.

He was previously head of another Vinci subsidiary, the consultant Soletanche Freyssinet. He will continue in his role as an international director of Vinci as well as chief executive of the UK subsidiary.

Vinci has recently increased the number of drones used in its operations.

Vinci was the only non-Chinese company to make it into the top five of highest-grossing global contractors in the latest rankings from US magazine Engineering New-Record (ENR).
