A New York City-headquartered consultancy that advises firms in the construction industry on finance, strategy and sustainability has changed ownership for the first time in its 30-year history and is now a women-owned firm.
The Environmental Financial Consulting Group (EFCG), which also produces conferences and specialises in mergers and acquisitions, is now owned by three managing partners – Rebecca Zofnass, pictured above left, Julie Hasiba, middle, and Jessica Barclay, right – who together bring experience from Bain Consulting, Accenture, Goldman Sachs, and JP Morgan.
In a statement to GCR on 25 September EFCG said the company had boosted its professional team to 15, 40% of whom are women, and that the team had experience in engineering, sustainability, investment banking, management consulting, military leadership, digital marketing and business development.
Daughter of founder Paul Zofnass, who is now chairman, Rebecca Zofnass is in charge of financial and strategic advisory services. Prior to joining EFCG, she was a manager at management consultant Bain & Company, and holds an MBA from Harvard Business School.
Julie Hasiba leads the company on its industry leadership conferences, and joined EFCG from Accenture’s Strategy Consulting group where she advised on talent and organisational design. She has an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
Jessica Barclay leads EFCG’s mergers and acquisitions advisory work. Barclay has been a banker with JP Morgan’s Private Bank and worked for Goldman Sachs on the Foreign Exchange Trading Desk. She received her MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth.
Founder Paul Zofnass continues his work on the Zofnass Program for Sustainable Infrastructure at Harvard, which initiated the development of the Envision Rating System to measure sustainability for civil infrastructure projects.
As well as New York City, EFCG has offices in Denver, Colorado and Athens, Greece.
