Start-up Azure Printed Homes will create 26 affordable 3D printed homes for “Veterans Village,” a new development in Twentynine Palms, southern California.

Each of the houses will measure 900 sq ft and will contain two bedrooms. They will be made of recycled materials and will use plastic designated for landfill.

George Mulopulos, of Laconic WPC, said: “We are excited to partner with Azure Printed Homes to bring this project to life.

“The Veterans Village community will provide much-needed affordable housing for our community and for our veterans, and we look forward to welcoming this much needed innovation to our city.”

Construction on the project is due to begin this year.

In 2022 it was announced that Azure Printed Homes would print 10 plastic dwellings across three sites in southern California.
