Developers Ivanhoé Cambridge and Shea Properties are celebrating the completion of “Sixth & Jackson”, a two-building, six-story, 518-unit, mixed-use project in the Californian city of San Jose’s historic Japantown.

They said the development had reached 95% occupancy since leasing launched in August 2022.

Sited on 3.79 acres near Mineta International Airport and Silicon Valley’s business districts, the buildings have 19,000 sq ft of ground-level retail space.

A rooftop solar array helps power the LEED Gold-certified property.

The completion follows what the developers said were 10 years of coordination between them, the city, and local community groups.
