Bam joint venture to build 10-building German business campus

A joint venture between German and Dutch construction firms Max Bögl Stiftung & Co. and Bam has won a contract for the second phase of a business campus in
the southern German state of Baden-Württemberg.

The project, for finance and insurance firm Wüstenrot & Württembergische will provide space for 2,800 employees, as well as a conference centre, staff restaurant, and a company medical practice.

The 86,000 sq m project will add ten buildings to the development to four that were completed during the first phase of construction.

German architect Ortner & Ortner Baukunst has grouped the buildings of differing heights around terraces and created what MVRDV describes as a "lively street which opens up to the surrounding landscape on the south side".

Construction on the project is due to begin in the second quarter of 2019, with buildings in use by the end of 2022. The W&W campus is due to be completed in 2023.
