Digitising programme management, making the most of handover information and using technology to improve on-site productivity are the key themes at this year’s Digital Construction Summit.
The series of webinars, produced by GCR-sister website Construction Management, takes place between 21 October and 5 November.
The opening webinar on 21 October is entitled: Turning handover information into operational intelligence. Glider founder and managing partner Nick Hutchinson and Defence Infrastructure Organisation asset management lead of accommodation asset information Bryn Turner will explore how structured building information enables contractors to meet client requirements, while giving owners and operators the tools to drive efficiency, ensure regulatory confidence and future-proof their estates.
The second webinar on 22 October is entitled: The key to on-site productivity – eliminate the errors. Experts from the Get It Right Initiative and Elecosoft will share their advice and best practice for using technology (and AI) to reduce errors in design and construction
The third webinar on 28 October is entitled: Digitising the programme management office. This webinar will feature a panel discussing the CIOB Innovation and Digital Advisory Panel’s development of the Digital Programme Management Office Playbook. This pioneering initiative explores the intersection of digital programme management, the rise of AI capabilities, and the critical importance of a mindful, mastered data approach.
Speakers include:
- David Philp, chair of the CIOB Digital & Innovation Advisory Panel and chief value officer at Bentley Systems.
- Stefan Mordue, vice chair of the CIOB Digital & Innovation Advisory Panel and senior manager of education and partnerships at Bentley Systems.
- May Winfield, global director of commercial, legal and digital risks at Buro Happold.
- James Daniel, head of digital engineering at HS2 Ltd.
- Jennifer Whyte, professor at the University of Sydney and Imperial College London.
A fourth webinar, in early November, will be announced soon.
All the webinars are free to attend and are broadcast live. Those who complete each webinar live via their own registration link will qualify for an hour’s CPD.
The webinars will be available to watch on demand shortly after live broadcast.
The event is supported by Elecosoft, Glider, RIB Software, Trimble and CIOB.
