Spain’s Ferrovial has won its first project in South Carolina through its US subsidiary, Webber.

Webber will expand the ramp, roadway, and upgrade the stormwater system at the state’s Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport for $16.5m.

It’s due to finish the work by the end of 2023.

Webber also this week won a project in Georgia, to rehabilitate the I-75 highway in Peach County.

This $14.8m project for the Georgia Department of Transportation will upgrade some 17km of concrete on I-75, beginning north of SR 96 and extending south of Sardis Church Road.

It will see Webber replace some 21,000 sq m of concrete pavement.

Together, the South Carolina and Georgia projects are worth $31.3m.
